Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria is delighted to announce the appointment of four new Board Members effective 19 April, 2023.
Joining the now eight-strong board includes: Amanda Sheat – Strategic Communications Manager at EPA Victoria, Kartik Shah – Director of Private Client Deals at PwC, Kirstin Coote – Senior Program Manager at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, and Marcus Seal – Managing Director of Rock Posters and longstanding KABV volunteer.
Olivia Lynch, KABV’s CEO congratulated the new appointments and looks forward to working closely with the new Directors, noting their extensive collective experience in strategy, communications, marketing, partnerships, finance, and program development in the waste, recycling, and environmental sectors.
KABV also acknowledges John Valastro’s contribution to the board as he steps down from his director position.
Board Member Bios:
Having worked in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, Amanda Sheat has more than 15 years’ experience across marketing, advertising, strategic communications and government relations.
Currently leading strategic communications, including marketing and sponsorship, at EPA Victoria, Amanda has worked in the environment sector of Victorian State Government for the past 6 years.
Adept at reputation management, creative strategy and policy communications, Amanda’s insights into environmental issues, opportunities and networks have driven best practice outcomes for departments and government authorities.
Amanda is passionate about protecting the environment for future generations and building a more climate-resilient world.
Kartik has more than 14 years of experience in accounting roles, including 6 years with the Private Clients practice of PwC Melbourne, covering all aspects of external financial reporting and financial due diligence. Kartik possesses strong analytical skills, has a versatile understanding of business operations and processes. He will be taking on the position as Treasurer for KABV.
Kirstin is an experienced executive officer with a demonstrated history of working with local and state government both nationally and internationally as well as directly linking to business and industry. She is skilled in leadership, coaching, government, team building, and training delivery. She is a strong achieving professional with a BSAppSc(Hons) focused in Environmental Science from RMIT University.
Marcus has spent the majority of his career in entertainment marketing and has held several executive roles at multi-national and privately-held organisations.
He is currently General Manager of the iconic Rock Posters company where he has overseen meaningful evolution in the outdoor advertising business in terms of leadership in environmental care.
Under his watch Rock Posters has been recognised as a winner of the prestigious Premier’s Sustainability Award and has also received the City of Darebin’s Sustainability Leaders Award.
Marcus has been an active volunteer with Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria’s Stationeers Program where he has regenerated a substantial parcel of land in his neighbourhood, he is also a director of Green Music Australia, a registered charity, harnessing the cultural power of our influential music scene to create a greener, safer future.
